Life in Balance
Welcome

Special Announcement

As of September 30, 2012 I have closed my office.

I renewed my license in October 2012 because I will still be engaged in providing a different set of psychological services to the public.

For the next year I intend to maintain my website as a public resource in Psychology. My future plans are to expand the information available to the public, perhaps developing a Blog, as well as additional book reviews about psychological topics, and continuing to create materials, including updating my Stress Management Program that I have used for over 30 years, creating a DVD, including new video instructions and variations, I will also be creating articles, books and e-publications, and, maybe, on-line informational Webinars on a variety of topics made available on a subscription basis, as well as presentations for Continuing Education.

If you have an interest in following my new journey, you can bookmark this site, or send your e-mail address to DrB@jamesbarrickphd.com. Because I cannot control who sees an e-mail sent to me, please refrain from sending personal information over the internet.

One option, available only to current and former patients, is for them to continue psychotherapy by TeleMedia, e.g., telephone, Skype, or FaceTime. This will continue until we reach the point that we agree that our work has been completed, and our professional relationship will end. This option is only available to current and former patients, if we have discussed it in advance, and have agreed that this option is likely to be able to meet their needs.

Sincerely,

James E. Barrick, Ph.D.
